TMAATT is dedicated to:

  • Ensuring that each MBAT candidate is taught by experienced licensed clinical instructors who are trained in mindfulness, trauma, and addiction.

  • Ensuring that each class size is small in order to create the ideal atmosphere for learning, growth, and trust. Our MBAT clinicians make life long friends and colleagues from all around the world as they move through each training level.

  • Ensuring that our MBAT supervisors work closely with each MBAT clinician to help them implement the mindfulness tools in their own clinical practice. We want our MBATs to confidently apply what they are learning with the clients they work with.

  • Ensuring that we support each MBATs growth and interest in applying mindfulness in their personal lives as they wish.

  • Ensuring that we provide a community that fosters collaboration, support and kindness so that every candidate feels connected not only during the training, but long after you have completed the MBAT certification.

The MBAT Certification Training is organized in to three levels of researched based training designed to teach the therapist how to incorporate mindfulness based information and materials, research based tools and practices in to the therapist’s addiction and trauma therapy work in order to help clients gain long term recovery.

There are three CEU training levels for the MBAT certification, with the clinician completing the training levels and MBAT supervision within a two-year period in order to qualify for the MBAT certification.

Level I is facilitated on site in Newport Beach, California on the following days:

Sunday 8:30 - 12:30 PM

Attendance Requirements for Level I: In order to attend the MBAT level I training, the clinician must complete the TMAATT application and submit the required paperwork for verification and approval.

Our next level one training will begin fall of 2020. In order to be added to the interest list click here.

Level II is online, and is self paced, supported by the MBAT supervisor over 4 weeks, with the candidate completing specific reading and exercises, along with one hour of MBAT supervision each week.

Please Note: The course work for level II takes in to consideration that most of our MBATs are working clinicians with busy personal and professional lives, thus we have organized the training in to manageable weekly components.

Supervision Requirements for Level II: In order to attend the on line level II training, the MBAT must complete Level I and 8 hours of supervision with an MBAT supervisor.

Level III is facilitated on site in Newport Beach, California on the following days:
